Marlane Ghmed is an award winning Film and Television Producer and Production Manager. She has always had an interest in all things creative, and began making music videos and films when she was just a child.
After completing a Bachelor of Media Studies at La Trobe University, she began her television career volunteering at Channel 31 on The Breakfast Show and from there moved into a full time position and also began producing on the parenting show Room to Grow which currently screens on Australian network television. During this time, she also produced her first short film Smile, secured a casual job at Channel Nine on the game show The Mint and from there continued her television career with shows such as Wheel of Fortune and Taken Out.
She has produced a variety of music videos, films, events and corporate videos. She was Associate Producer on the comedy short film "What a Gun" which was an Official Selection at the White Sands International Film Festival 2014, Quarter-Finalist at the NexTV Web Series & Indie Film Comp 2014 as well as an Official Selection at the 2013 Indie Fest USA. What a Gun has now been developed into a Television series Bernie Brown the Show, currently in production. In 2016 she produced action film Dancer after heading a successful crowd funding campaign where she was able to surpass the target goal in only 4 weeks. She recently produced short action film Dancer, which won over 20 awards on the international film festival circuit.
Marlane also works for Nine Network Australia as a production manager on the successful game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Hot Seat. She is currently producing on Sci-Fi film Earthrise which is due to conclude production in May 2017. She is also developing the action/martial arts feature film, Alpha Dogs- a project she is very passionate about. She is currently producing the short action/martial arts film, Night Shift.
